About LPJ Construction

Lyle Parks Jr.

Chairman Emeritus

Lyle Parks, Jr., founded Lyle Parks, Jr., Construction (LPJ) in 1960. During the course of his 50 years as principal of LPJ, Mr. Parks has handled nearly every task within the firm - from manual labor to marketing.

As Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Parks remains active in the firm by providing the LPJ staff with insights and wisdom from his extensive experience in the industry on a daily basis.

Through the application of input from LPJ staff and independent consultants, he developed Partner-Build to control construction costs, accelerate schedules and prevent expensive last-minute plan changes. Partner-Build enhances communication between the developer, architect and contractor by making them equal "partners" from the inception of every project.

Mr. Parks' professional portfolio includes the founding of Hacienda Bank in 1969 and Founders bank in 1981, as well as limited partnerships in the oil, equestrian and entertainment industries.

An avid participant in philanthropic organizations, Mr. Parks has supported the La Habra- and Brea-Boys and Girls Club since 1962. He has also been a member of Lions Clubs International since 1962, and was elected President of the La Habra Club in 1964 and District Governor in 1974. In order to ensure the graduation of every player, Mr. Parks spearheaded the Playmakers Executive Committee to benefit Cal State Fullerton's Titan basketball team. In 1994, Mr. Parks served as President of the Orange County Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.

Mr. Parks' professional association includes The Executive Committee (TEC) and Lambda Alpha International, the land economics fraternity for which he currently serves as Regional Vice President, Western States.
